It’s TIME! Get Those Entries In for 2025

It is time! The Author Portal is open and ready for ALL romance writers to jump in to the 2025 National Excellence in Romance Fiction Awards. We want all stories published in 2024 to join in on the fun! The application process is simple: Check out the “How to Enter” page for exact instruction on what to include with your application information as well as the naming of your PDF. We only accept PDFs for the contest.
Remember once we reach 200 entries or March 31st (whichever comes first) we will close the portal and prepare to send your stories to the appropriate reading judges for their first round of reviews.

2024 Winners

We had a great response to last year’s contest. We would like to do even more this year. If we can get at least 10 Young Adult Romance Stories this year we can use that category again. If you are under 18 you must have a parent/guardian’s permission to participate. TYPE IN THE NOTE TO THE COORDINATOR: to let us know we have to have a separate form signed by you parent/guardian that allows us to place your picture on our website and social media and any promotional video we can schedule should you be a finalists and/or a winners.

Share, Like, Comment and Subscribe

The best way to help our contest is the like, share, comment and subscribe to our newsletter and social media posts wherever your find them. As of today we have accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Twitter – X, Pinterest, LinkedIn, TikTok and Bluesky. Each platform has a unique audience and we hope that all of our participating authors will use our handles for that platform in your posts, share each of our posts with your friends, family and fellow authors. The more we share the more we can help each other reach our book business goals.
